Another childhood classic origami pattern are these adorable little Origami Boats or Paper Boats. This is one of the first origami patterns I taught my children (eventhough many of the above origami for kids ideas are easier), because I have a personal strong association with these from my childhood… you can make them, any time, anywhere and have lots of playful fun! Love.
Origami is a fun art of making creative things by folding papers. Your child can learn to make different artifacts like animals, flower, trees, boxes and many other decorative items by using simple techniques of easy origami for kids. Your kid can enjoy this craft activity without the extensive use of glue and scissors.
Originally, origami was always folded with a colorful type of Japanese paper called chiyogami. During the early days of origami, the craft itself was actually referred to by this name as well. Even today, chiyogami can be seen in souvenir shops in Japan.
The art of origami began in Japan after monks brought paper from China in the sixth century. Origami continued to maintain its religious and ceremonial character until the 1600s. As paper began to be mass-produced and as it became more affordable, paper folding became a popular recreational activity throughout Japanese culture. Today, origami is popular throughout the world. If you‘d like to make some origami paper art of your own, here are some patterns to try.
